Star Wars Running Costumes

This year with Disney's purchase of the Star Wars franchise, Disneyland hosted the inaugural RunDisney Star Wars 5k, 10k, and 1/2 marathon. It was a full weekend of Star Wars themed runs through Disneyland. In my opinion, the runs were pretty expensive, and it was obvious Disney was milking Star Wars fans and runners for …

Nisei Fishing Company Apparel & Craft Shows

About a year ago I was asked to join an annual Asian-American craft show in the area called Koi Krafters. I don't consider myself a "crafter" but I was intrigued at the idea. The organizers of the craft show asked me to come up with some apparel for Asian-American men, since the majority of their …

Don’t Forget About This.

Actor and comedian Seth Rogen appeared before a congressional panel to talk about how his mother-in-law battles Alzheimer's. I'm a fan of Seth and his inappropriately funny movies, and this congressional address made me even more of a fan. Good for you, Seth! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UHqx3-mfHAY My grandparents played a huge part in raising me. I was …

Chalkboarding (Large Display)

For our church's Advent sermon series we're going through the famous John 3:16 as a way to look at Jesus as God's gift to the world. I usually come up with all of our sermon graphics, but I also wanted to create a large display in the foyer of our sanctuary. I had this idea …

2014 in review (the blog, not my life)

I love the little summaries WordPress prepares for its blogs every year. Here's mine! The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog. Here's an excerpt: A New York City subway train holds 1,200 people. This blog was viewed about 6,200 times in 2014. If it were a NYC subway train, …

Mazda Ad

After riding in my sister-in-law's Mazda all weekend, I was reminded of this amazing ad. Bet it makes you consider getting a Mazda... and visiting Hiroshima. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R5b-vTh9qYE

Share & Do Good Moved! (across the street)

The other day, I was able to visit my friend Lilly's store Share in Fullerton, CA. She was able to move to a larger space that really gives the store a much "grander" feel. It's a great space to highlight their products. Share & Do Good sells well-designed products that benefit amazing causes. If you …

Artist Trading Cards #3

For the 3rd gathering of our ATC gathering we met at my friend Marian's house. Marian goes to church with us and interestingly, her family's house was used in a Kelly Clarkson video a few years back. We watched the music video while we sat in her living room! I used my pyrography pen (again) …
